2011 St Thomas Aquinas Knights.
Tim Budd, a 1995 Aquinas graduate, has been hired as the head football coach of the Knights!
His previous coaching experience found success. He was an offensive coordinator at Medina Highland (2008-09) and made playoff runs in that system, offensive coordinator and line coach at Green (2007) and New Middletown Springfield (2005-06). He’s also coached at Field and Streetsboro.
While away from football last season, Budd wasn’t completely gone. He said he watched five Aquinas games and worked with middle school players in the Aquinas feeder program.
“Since I started coaching it’s been a dream of mine to go back and coach football at St. Thomas because I got such a quality education there, I had a positive experience and a lot of things I’ve been able to succeed at in life go back to my foundation in a Catholic education,” Budd said. “This is a chance to give back.”

Knights Kick off 2011 Season with a Team Camp at
Mount Union College
Packing a lot of learning into 3 days the Knights took to the new systems being put in place by Coach Budd and his Staff. The progress was clear and significant as they had good success in the 7 on 7 scrimmages verses Rootstown, Newcomerstown, Mineral Ridge and West Middlesex from PA. It is setting up to be an exciting season for the Knights with a re-worked schedule and a new look. Notice the Back-To-Tradition helmets.
