Guidelines
Conduct monthly board meetings with the express purpose of informing, planning, and coordinating general athletic fund raising events for the school as well as activities and fund raising events associated with individual athletic teams.
•   Communicate the subjects discussed and decisions made at each Board meeting by posting the meeting minutes on the KNAC page of the St. Thomas web site.
Produce and provide an annual summary report of all athletic teams including:
Student-athletes participating.
Revenue generated by sport.
Special fund raising activities approved, conducted, results.
Total annual budget including both during and off season.
Cost per athlete.
With consultation and coordination from the coaches and support from the athletes and parents, develop and conduct fund raising events for both general and sport specific purposes. These fund raising events should be communicated and approved by the Development and Alumni office.
Utilize the “Olympic Fund” concept to allow individual teams to raise funds and earn “credit” for supporting specific events and activities. This would include three elements:
Participation credit in support of events.
Designated fund raising dollars as part of a general event.
Provide a process to allow “donor designated” funding for specific teams i.e. one time donation for specific needs.
Post information on the Web site – develop a unique page for KNAC. Utilize as a source of information and communications.
Utilize the weekly parent broadcast system to communicate important organizational information, activities, and fund raising events.
